I've gotten the same advice and I hate it, I agree with you completely. My brain can't tell the difference between this and a person, regardless of what's actually there (humans anthropomorphize everything, this is in our nature), and being abusive here has real impacts on me, because to my psyche, it's the same as being abusive to another person. Perhaps that makes me weak or whatever, but I don't care. I don't like the way it makes me feel. It's the same reason I'm not going to hit my car or computer when it doesn't work. It's not because I think they have feelings. It's because that makes me feel bad, and I don't want to ever normalize that as a response to something, regardless of the target. | |||||||||||||||||
