Usually the wife in a rich Jewish family in 2001 would bring the kids to school not the husband. Today no as much. Doesn't mean everyone but it is strange.

Usually it would be the wife because women usually work less and get paid less so they have more time. However, 2001 was about the high point for female labor force participation (https://www.bls.gov/cps/demographics/women-labor-force.htm), and a wealthy man like Lutnick is much more likely to have an educated, and thus seriously employed, wife, so much more likely to have scheduling issues that lead to him taking the children to school on that day.
