I think it depends on the ratio of vibe to code. I've used agenetic coding on a very short leash to build things, and I've still felt in control, still familiar with the codebase, still able to code fixes quickly by hand, and it's been satisfying while also much, much faster than coding by hand.

OTOH, I've also built more vibey need-it-now-don't-care-how projects, fully giving the agents the reins and an end goal. These work (often very well!) but I'm not always 100% sure how, and if I needed to bug fix manually it would not be fast or easy. And that's fine in the circumstances, but it's not the same feeling of owning the code base.
