Amodei recently said that for the average person to trust AI, a frontier lab would have to solve something like cancer.

I suspect the biopharmas will get there first.

I’m not certain that an AI agent itself is going to cure cancer. But I am certain that millions of scientists using AI will make lots of progress.

I guarantee someone at Moderna was using Claude in some capacity.

No frontier lab has ever claimed they would cure cancer without biopharma partnerships, with their technology as a (somewhere on the spectrum of minor to revolutionary) accelerator.
