I know far too many AI haters myself, and even though I understand many of their concerns, there are many things I really struggle to agree with. I entered the workforce with AI already in my hands, and in my experience, the benefit is enormous. I don’t feel that it has weakened my way of thinking. My mind works very well, and AI often helps me bring my creativity, logic, and ideas to life that would otherwise require much more time to develop.I believe AI is now one of the driving forces of modern industry, and it is not going away. The sooner we accept that, the sooner we can focus on the issue that really matters: how we decide to use it.In the end, it is a tool. It can be used in a mediocre way, by delegating everything to it, or it can amplify what we know how to do, help us create, reason, and push ourselves further. It is also up to the user to decide what kind of relationship they want to have with this tool. And that is exactly why, even though I don’t share all of your concerns about AI, I strongly support your decision to return to the industry and try to build a different way of using it. I think we also need people who are critical of AI but still choose to work with it and contribute to giving it a better direction.
