Assuming they were any good at it. They can’t even figure out basic product design.

You cannot have the purchase funnels you describe without better UI/UX. Amazon’s is abysmal.

Very often people leave Amazon and boycott them entirely (like I do) because the experience is so awful across the board.

I don’t believe they are “guiding” anyone to anything. Amazon only became profitable after COVID when they forced everyone to shut down so we had to use Amazon. Everyone noticed that and remembers.

You put them on a pedestal.
