| China is more authoritarian but the US under republican presidential administrations has been more more militarily aggressive. Every single Republican administration has initiated invasions of other countries and every Democratic administration has at the very least engaged with overseas bombing. The question is whether this makes folks more or less likely to hold dollars vs yuan as reserve currency |
