I don't think this game is for me but still congrats on building something!

A quick side note: I kept getting notifications for unlocked achievements that I certainly did not fulfill the requirements for, e.g. "Play a whole season" after the second tournament or "Earn a million" after I had made maybe 50k.

It takes into account your whole golfer profile so if you choose an Elite player then the game will check against his lifetime earnings and other things. I'll try to fix that or enable an option to start fresh so that you aren't inheriting a golfer already but I believe that's intentional design so far.

I like it! The 'skill focus' prep appears to be the only way to improve my skill attributes but despite choosing that for each tournament in early season, it doesn't appear to have any permanent effect on my attributes.

There's a skill focus for each tournament that gives you a temporary boost to tournament results. And then there's an annual progress option at the beginning of each season to permanently update your attributes. Thanks for playing it!

Solo built this browser game. You create a golfer, compete against a persistent AI league, and manage training, equipment, and schedule across a 4 season career. Basically taking Basketball GM's approach and applying it to golf.

Numbers so far: 282 users in the last 10 days, about 9.6% coming back. Had a small spike a few days ago that mostly didn't stick, still trying to figure out why. One good sign though, people who come in through a direct referral stick around about 8 minutes and return at 2x the rate of everyone else. So the core loop seems to work once someone actually sits with it.
