Here's what The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy has to say about dating applications:

It is safe to assume that people who are on dating application platforms are mostly insufferable or insincere, and should therefore not be considered good candidates for romantic partnership.

Firstly, the majority of sentient beings can already be described as insufferable or insincere, or indeed both.

This may even adequately describe every sentient being, but sentient beings tend to be rather pedantically divided on the subject, or think you're joking when you ask them.

As long as it is not a defining characteristic of a sentient being, but rather just a high probability, then a sentient being's presence on a dating app offers an additional hint.

You can infer from their presence on a dating platform that they are already struggling to find a partner (either because they are difficult to tolerate, or will not be very likely to tolerate others), and that they are concerned enough about it to advertise themselves.

It is thus not recommended to seek a partner in this manner. You could instead consider the many brothels and professional friends available in the galaxy (such as on Eroticon VI), though due to a lack of viable currencies in circulation, this is also unlikely to yield positive results.
