They've also restricted registration to confirmed emails only, not sure if it's part of this move or not but previously you could put junk in and not confirm, prior to that you could skip adding an email entirely.

They've also restricted signing in to known-devices only, if you sign in on another computer you'll need to reset your password which will require adding an email if you haven't previously.

Or you can browse anonymously on the gimped interface at 'new' reddit.

I hope it backfires and they don't get the forgery-like growth this is supposed to present.

Works for me.

The you must be logged in thing has been there for a while.

It has been time to move on from Reddit for at least 6 to 7 years.

Theres still some niche communities that only really have activity there, its unfortunate but is what it is. Still better than what some have done and moved to say, discord, where discovery is even worse.

Some local scenes as well, for better or worse. I'll still take it over some facebook group or the like.

Working fine for me

Still cannot duplicate here. Only a 'network security has blocked you' deterent screen that goes away on refresh then old.reddit works fine. Not a uniform change for everyone it seems. Can also log in if an actual user and set preference to old.

Looks like it only works logged in.

It now redirects to the login screen
