Let's take world leaders as an example. Suppose one starts making up everything they say on the spot, never researches or cares about facts, and just says things people like. Would this world leader be (a) less or (b) more trusted and influential? | ||||||||

That might run the risk of backfiring, by teaching people that hallucinations are obvious and thus easily avoided. Perhaps one of those things that only happens to other people who aren't so smart/skilled/savvy (car crashes, scams, mental illness, etc.). | ||||||||
