I'm baffled why Germany would allow this, you'd think they and the rest of Europe would understand the importance of energy independence at this point.

This is/was a project in the USA. Europe is baffled by this US administration but has no say if the US does something so short-sighted.

It's not like the Trump administration is stopping off shore wind projects here... yet.
