Why would they do that? It seems to have prevented UTM (there's a linked tweet[0].)

They used to have a policy of no emulators, I think. But if they shipped a hypervisor why remove it?

Every time I see what people achieve when jailbreaking, it makes me think that nothing would be healthier than forcing iOS to be unlocked and even fully open source.

ipad os 26 has some opportunity, some research(google "ios26-hypervisor-research") indicates that apple add hypervisor back at ios/ipados 26, since latest security features relies on it
