Perhaps we should not grant century+ long monopolies for out of print books, and even make copyright require a fee that the Library of Congress uses to add the material to a permanent digital archive available to the public. Then no one would need to hoard and destroy old books because the contents would already be easily available. AI training is a distraction from the destruction of knowledge copyright already causes. | ||
