I wore glasses almost all my life, enduring "four eyes" taunts, losing them, breaking them, and losing them again, many times over. I tried contact lenses, but they were a struggle. It's almost cataract surgery time, and I'll need readng glasses.

Why anyone would want glasses other than sunglasses ( a necessity with the strong sun; I wear them over the glasses) puzzles me.
