Just like published books were considered a symbol of effort that no one would have considered a blog as being anywhere near. When was the last time you looked up a book to find an answer to your question? That USED to be the normal.

Then we just googled for a link to Stack Overflow. And the oldtimers waxed lyrical on Slashdot, bemoaning the loss of craftsmanship, and how it was too easy nowadays - no effort.

What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.

The likely next normal will be agent-scraped content that it summarizes and tailors to its human. Slop, lacking real content, will be dutifully skipped by the agent, and the human won't care.

Meanwhile, armies of advertisers will cry foul, and scramble for a new way to get in front of human eyeballs.

And for those who want to continue reading blogs for pleasure, it's one agent pre-screen away.

I think by "disruptive" you mean "annoying"

There is negative value in wasting vertical space to put an irrelevant prompt output in an article. It makes me question the sanity of whoever is doing this stuff. Doubly so if they actually think they dumped a bunch of AI-generated text on the internet just for people to AI-summarize it. Like... what are they DOING?
