You still have like 4(?) years before you actually need to secure a job. Don't try to predict the job market. The job market in tech in 2022 was totally different from what it is today in 2026.

AI is definitely going to shape the industry, and while I agree it's hard to see how it can create more job opportunities for junior positions, since you're already decided to do CS, just learn as much as you can about anything that interests you.

It's better to be really good at an unpopular niche, than to have average skills in the hottest trend.
