I am rather surprised that there's no well-supported OSS way to get full disk encryption + ZFS + automatic SSD/HDD tiering or at least caching.

FDE with Secure Boot on Linux is a minefield.

ZFS doesn't do tiering.

Sadly on Windows tiering is also expensive (requires Server editions).
