Can they point to articles that are unjustly critical of America? How about those they think appropriate? For example, is a historical article summarizing the errors and omissions that let to Pearl Harbor “critical of America” or “history”?

The authors are not saying the articles are unjustly critical of America. Their criticism is that the journal publishes only articles that are critical, and none say anything good about it.

So let me ask you, is it your view that everything about America is bad? or do you think that in some important ways it is good?
