God, imagine being trapped in a plane for 24 hours! And I just checked the current flight time between Melbourne, Australia and London, UK, and, even with 1 stop, it's still around 24 hours - https://www.google.com/travel/flights/search?tfs=CBwQAhoeEgo... . The break due to a stop (if you are allowed to step out ofcourse) can be a relief on such long flights. What we need is more research on supersonic flights to cut down travel time ... | ||||||||

When my family emigrated from Scotland to Australia in the early 80s, we flew EDI-CDG-BAH-HKG-MEL. Now I've flown many polar flights from SEA-DXB/DOH, etc. Such a difference. | ||||||||
