Wasn't the digital Euro specifically crippled due to banks lobbying against it to promote Wero instead?

I haven't heard of crippling d. euro, but wero is specifically built by European banks, to try to corner the market before d. euro comes.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised regarding lobbying.
