Don’t expect The Guardian to report on AI taking jobs. Their audience wants to believe AI is failing and could never match their superior intellects.

Newsflash: AI is already remarkably good at replacing the exact office and civil service paper-pushing they do every day.

I suspect very few people in the tech industry understand or have experienced what office and civil service workers do. It might not be all that different than most engineering work: Organizing and arranging things, fitting things together, troubleshooting edge cases, bypassing controls to keep things working.
