Sad to think how much human capital is wasted this way. Edit: especially in low-wage or less-developed countries where this loss hurts the most. Some 'slave wage' person spending their time to produce crap that wastes other people's time. All to increase a number on some CEO's dashboard. Same workers could instead be building actually useful stuff, up their skillset, contribute to their country's culture, etc etc. | ||||||||

Instead the same workers would be unemployed if they stopped doing these kind of jobs all together. There are few options in the Philippines, and BPO is actually a well respected career and skillset that is worthwhile to refine. There is very little “etc. etc”; especially if you’ve relied on this skillset for years. | ||||||||
