Tell me you live in a civilised country without telling me you live in a civilised country. Over here, in Greece, whenever you try to avoid a pothole, a double-parked car, a cyclist, a pedestrian, a stray, ANYTHING, lane assist always tries its best to make you hit whatever you're trying to avoid.

When I loved in Guam we had a joke bout this: How do you tell if someone is driving drunk? They are driving straight! With the unspoken part being anyone NOT drunk was weaving to dodge debris, potholes, etc.

Earlier this year, I rented a new Toyota Camry (US model). It had lane assist, but it was very easy to override it. I didn't really have to fight it. (And that was nice. I've drive other cars where it was more of a battle.) So, yeah, it's done badly some of the time. But it at least can be done well.
