Wouldn't that be the same even if AI wasn't involved? By and large, it's the same books, the same training for students, the same hammered in structure, so the output from students would be reasonably similar. No one is coming up with new allegories out of The Scarlet Letter at this point.

If I saw that LLM generated uniformity as described they'd all have gotten a plagiarism mark. There were many differences in how people describe things and you could easily see if someone understood the subject or not. That is gone with LLMs as I see it now.

No, not at all. Students all have different voices. Yes there are similarities but if I read two pieces of work that sound in the same voice I assume there has been cheating — except this year everything is in the same voice.
