Hey HN, sharing my new app here - Clinch. I decided to make this app while going through the layoff time at GitLab, though I am safe. During the time, I was bit anxious and offcourse did not have lot of work to do, I doomscroll a lot and hence my mental and phone usage hit badly. I decided to put this time to work on some side project and came up with the idea to kill my existing pattern. I tried One Sec, got numb to the same breath, and wanted something that stayed novel and made me notice the pattern. When you open an app you've chosen, Clinch steps in with a short (~10–30s) moment — a breath, a spot-the-dot game, a fact, a finger labyrinth — then asks one question: "what brought you here?" It rotates through 6 moment types so your brain can't autopilot through a repeated ritual. It's been 2 weeks since I published the app and so far got 25 downloads. I realised that distribution is more tougher now. Sharing to the community here if you wanted to try out and have some suggestion on the app or distribution. I made a short youtube demo as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvkgxNBRx2g Thankyou!!! | ||
