Freedom of expression and information

1. Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. This right shall include freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority and regardless of frontiers.

2. The freedom and pluralism of the media shall be respected.

		In our legal system not all way to express your opinion are protected. Death threats, insults and promises of rape can be considered ways to express yourself, but any opinion worth expressing can be stated without. Sure, this can be the first step to the suppression of dissenting points of view. The thing is: Before the nazis came to power, they made everybody else afraid to state their mind with open threats and violence. So it’s painfully obvious that unmoderated free speech can also be used to suppress dissenting opinions.
