Do they also remove heatpumps? Most heatpumps I've used in NZ can also function as air conditioners in summer. | ||||||||

I propose power off one AI data-center and let Britons cool their homes using whatever method they deem appropriate. That should balance out the emissions. | ||||||||

Achieving "Net Zero" when building more AI data centers is not possible. Choose one. Before it was crypto burning up the planet, but efficient methods of consensus (proof-of-stake) brought emissions down 99.9% and that is a true solution solving that problem. The AI data centers powering ChatGPT and Claude on the other hand are actually the ones burning up the planet and building more AI data centers is far more important than humans having air conditioning and not getting literally cooked so it seems. And no-one cares. | ||||||||
