Medicare / Medicaid cost almost 2 Trillion USD / year. But when you will look on prices of i.e. Insulin, which is simple drug available outside of USA for 10EUR but in USA it costs 300USD out of pocket without Medicare. Now it makes sense why you got 2T in the budget when Medicare is paying for 100 years old drug like it would be a latest cancer treatment. | |||||||||||||||||
