As an employer this article isn't convincing to me. I don't need a graduate that has "new ideas" my two senior engineers are way more productive and deliver a better ROI than hiring graduates and interns. While my competitors are hiring senior engineers, I and many other startups competing in the market cannot afford to train junior engineers while losing market share to rivals. If need someone to hire, I need them to get up to speed and adding value right now from when they finished navigating the codebase. Other than that I leave the seniors alone. I cannot leave juniors alone, we cannot afford to slow down. | ||||||||
