jeez Steam Deck feels like one of the most disappointing pieces of hardware I have purchased. Def not worth at that price. My main problem with it is that it doesn't have a simple clickable on/off switch, and takes FOREVER to turn on holy shit it's awful and feels unusable almost every time I try to use it I have to leave it on sleep because otherwise it will never turn back on, and it brings me so much ire to interact with its stupid recessed pathetic excuse of a power "button"

Startup is the one thing that Arch Linux doesn't let you tweak, so I'm not surprised that they didn't manage to get a very fast startup time, which necessitates suspending instead of powering on and off. I installed Artix Linux on my desktop computer, which is basically a branch of Arch Linux but with support for more initialization services, and it starts up a lot faster than my steam deck.

Interesting, it's one of my most cherished tech purchases, and I use it extensively, both as a home console and while traveling. It's beautiful.

I realized that most of the games I fancied playing just aren't meant for a 7" screen.
