We would need a lot of anecdata. Would we trust a doctor/pilot/engineer of 25 years more with the tried and tested (but now aging) kit of their time, or the acolyte that has been fully absorbed by the latest and greatest and has now more than doubled their productivity? While code quality may go up on a case by case basis, we should be mindful whether we are comparing it to our own personal baselines, or to the average code quality across the board. I.e. will the baseline regress to the mean, or raise the floor for the average coder? | ||
