I have a personal site where I post project logs. I want to grow my readership, but I don't know how to distribute it effectively. I'd like to be independent of the larger blog sites (substack, medium, etc).

What are people's preferences for RSS vs email newsletters vs other methods for keeping up with people's blogs?

I’m also asking because I haven’t found a solution for myself to keep up with other people’s personal blogs.

I follow blogs through RSS feeds. If a blog doesn't have an RSS feed, then I don't routinely check it. I don't sign up for newsletters at all.

RSS feed for anything I care about.
