Very interesting and detailed article. My main question is: Why would you really expect anything else? Sure, tools have improved a lot (especially battery electrical), but should this really amount to more than low single digit productivity percentage changes? Looking at the individual items in the "hours required to build a home" table, I struggle to see why you would even expect there to be a significant improvement over the last half-century. | ||

Good points - there really hasn't been a revolutionary tool or material improvement, like the introduction of Word and Excel in business. | ||
