| When I was a lad, 30ms was considered the worst latency allowable for telephony unless you were dealing with satellite links, in which case you taught people to use a simple variety of radio protocol (over). Nowadays with all our fancy crappy comms, 200+ms is considered normal. Ever noticed the lag on a Teams call? |

| It feels snappy _compared with most sites_. That's the point! It feels _very_ sluggish if I try it after spending some time using a windows 98 VM, or a library catalog from 1990. |
