Quite surprised that there is no discussion here. I would have expected that compiler/tools writers, language lawyers etc. would be all over this. Even "ordinary" programmers who are interested in knowing "what happens under the hood" will find this enlightening.

I had not read these journals so would definitely be downloading and going through them.
