It also handles 50,000 transactions per second with sub-100ms latency on hardware that costs a fraction of an equivalent cloud footprint. It has been doing this for 60 years. FWIW, IBM has been increasing TPF costs dramatically since mid 2000s, which prompted the GDSes to go through decade-plus efforts to migrate away from it, to the cloud. | ||
