What about Israel? Do they care about the world economy more than they care about Iran being further diminished? Because if Israel isn't on board with this they can unilaterally continue the war and Iran will continue to strike back.

Technically Israel, not the US started this (at least if you believe the US side of the story), you'd think they would at least be party to such a deal, but they don't rate a mention in the article.
