You see, social media is truly addictive because it's been honed to be addictive in some way that isn't specified or known or actually true. OK, let me try to analyze it: 1. Humans are idiots. 2. We have idiot glitches where we obsess over some particular thing. This is our own business and our own fault, and is impossible to tease apart from just liking stuff a lot and benefitting from it. 3. These glitches tend to accumulate in certain areas, and then some companies find themselves in the position of profiting from human glitchy idiocy, even though they didn't want to be behaving like scammers. 4. Then some of them get cynical about it and focus on that market segment, the obsessed idiots. This can include gambling and social media. | ||
