A little more background: Around this time last year I shared a talk on Enshittification, discussing what it means for design and technology professionals. Somehow it ended up being the #1 talk of the conference... so my team got to talking about how to build on it. We felt like a children's book was just the right mix of irreverence, cheekiness, and fun to make this complex, systems-level topic more accessible for people. It's a real children's board book with colourful illustrations printed on thick cardboard pages. The team had a LOT of fun putting it together — debating what each letter should be and how best to illustrate it. And it's been a surprisingly useful tool for connecting with like-minded individuals in tech! My fav letter: X (which of course, is for Twitter — RIP sweet bird) Most difficult letter: K (after many discussions, we landed on K-shaped economy) Longest word: Verschlimbessern (borrowed from Pavel Samsonov of The Product Picnic... the German's have the best words) | ||
