I meant more generally - IT administration, Networking, DevOps etc.. as in, is it a shrinking field or a growing one?

Hard to tell, there's a lot of stagnation because of the larger market.

Some argue more apps means more plumbers and problem solvers, but we'll see.

Speculation: I think infra roles including on-prem are growing again, based on things I've seen.
