A lot of Evangelicals also consider Israel important in bringing about the apocalypse, without which they can’t access eternal life. I wish I was kidding on that last one, but there are people actively trying to bring down civilisation so they can go to heaven. |

I suspect, however, that this view has exacerbated and now includes other "western" countries that are silent/complicit in current horrific war crimes. |
