It’s the same as scanning for CSAM, or encryption-backdoors “to catch criminals”.

Of course we hate child abuse.

Of course we hate criminals.

Of course we hate social media addicting our kids.

But they’re just used as emotional framing for the true underlying desire: government surveillance.
