More constructive is to think about what you don't enjoy about the activity and whether those are intrinsic qualities or can be changed. If they can be changed, change them. Similarly, it's a good idea to think about things you know you enjoy that can be coupled with exercise. Add those things to your exercise environment to build up positive associations over time. As a simple example: if you feel self-conscious about your body when you go to the gym you shouldn't try to just suffer through that feeling. Just workout somewhere where you don't feel self-conscious. | ||
