It just tells me you are very much ignorant on the subject. Dictatorships (Iran, Russia) are not religious by nature. They use culture or religion to drive their oppressive agenda, but you are falling for tricks that leads me to believe you support the protests in Iran not out of wishful helpfulness, but out of bigotry. But maybe you are equally supportive of other struggles for freedom like the Palestinian struggle.
