Isnt this boiled down to a cpmination of Xenos paradox and the halting problem. Every step seems to halve the problem state but each new state requires a question: should I halt? (Is the problem solved). Id say the only acceptable proof is one prompt context. But thats godels numbering Xenos paradox of a halting problem.
