You are thinking of the party that was previously in government.

It's completely in the current gov's power to stop all illegal immigration and to stem the flow of legal immigration. For whatever reason I cannot fathom, they do not enact that power.

At some point we have to stop blaming the previous government.

		The people who fronted the brexit campaign, enacted the will of the people and took back control of immigration in the exact manner they promised to. Net migration went from 100's of thousands to millions, why would we not blame them and blame someone else? "Migration could get to net-zero in 2026" is what the current government are getting blamed for.
