Is it the same as flipping every parenthesis to the other side of the number it's adjacent to, and then adding enough parentheses at the start and end?

For example,

    (1 + 2) * (3 + 4)

    1) + (2 * 3) + (4

    (1) + (2 * 3) + (4)
