LE has been really great, particularly in running hobby web sites on the public internet. Getting certbot up and running wasn't hard, automating renewal wasn't hard, and because they have DNS-based pathways to verification you can use LE certificates for sites not exposed to the public internet as well. Combine it with something like Caddy and getting SSL for an app becomes the default without ever having to manage certificates by hand. I find it pretty amazing how far its come, and how big a change it has made to the internet in the decade it's been operating. | ||
