Whataboutism with respect to other nations’ immigration rules is so lazy. As Americans we have ideals and standards that we all grew up being taught and believing, we shouldn’t be participating in a race to the bottom. There’s absolutely no reason why foreign nationals should be made to divulge the contents of their personal devices carte Blanche. Any search should be targeted based on a reasonable suspicion of that specific individual. This is the American tradition, these are American ideals. Asserting otherwise is unpatriotic. | ||||||||
